Who, Why, What and How?

Every building and landscape has a multiplicity of stories to tell.

Sometimes we live in places for practical purposes and are not interested in the background stories. But sometimes we are endlessly curious about the why, where, and how of the places that we inhabit or work in or visit.

House genealogy can tease out the unique stories about the inhabitants, designers, builders and context of the places in our lives.

This is an invitation to meet the history of your site.

Connor Ishiguro Turnbull is an architectural historian based in the Bay Area. She holds a B.A. History (focus Architectural History) from Brown University, and a M.Arch from the University of California, Berkeley. She has worked in historic preservation since 1995. In addition to her consulting work with her practice Connor Turnbull, Preservation Consulting, she is also a historian who is deeply curious about the stories behind the places of our lives. In her work she has found that every building and landscape has a story to tell. To that end, Connor is keen to help you find out the stories embedded in your unique place.
